Your challenges will be to:
Managing a Unix-like system via shell CLI, e.g., bash;
Managing long-running processes with systems or equivalent;
Setting up network configuration like IP address, default gateway address, and DNS server address;
Inspecting system logs for troubleshooting;
Experience supporting WordPress and similar platforms;
Domain transfer, DNS setup experience;
Understanding of web hosting (Apache, Nginx, MySQL, etc.) and basic server administration;
Managing virtual machines;
Tending alerts from the monitoring system and acting accordingly;
Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, and servers;
Basic understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP;
Writing scripts in Python or Bash (or both)
Our expectations:
Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science;
Proven work experience in IT;
Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance- monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching;
Excellent communication and organization skills and attention to detail;
Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and responsible.
